Freer Percussion TBC Carbon Fiber Shaft Triangle Beater with Brass Head

Freer Percussion TBC Carbon Fiber Shaft Triangle Beater with Brass Head

The difference in response and action from carbon fiber is vast from that of a steel shaft. The carbon fiber shaft offers a small amount of flex and ā€œwhipā€ to the rebound and response of the beater head; this not only absorbs shock, but also aids and facilitates rolls to a large degree. You will find the feel to be very easy to roll with, and the sound to have less attack and more triangle sound than contact sound from the beater. The TBC triangle beater is the same unique teardrop shape and design as the TSSC model, but made of a custom brass alloy. The brass alloy composition makes for a beater that is a little less articulate and mellower in sound than stainless steel. The tapered front tip facilitates dynamic playing especially in soft to loud rolls. It has a soft latex rubber grip for comfort and non slip grip. The difference between the TSS and the TB models is the clarity of sound. Both sound great on any triangle. You can use the stainless version as a general beater, and the brass version for more legato and blending parts.
