The TTS tam tam beater is smaller and slightly lighter than the old version. Ā Measuring in at 16ā³ length (406mm) with a head size of 5.12ā³ diameter and 15.9 oz (452g) this version is now a much more versatile mallet for a wider variety of tam tam sizes and dynamics.
The purple side is fairly hard and clear for soft notes that will speak immediately with plenty of bottom and fundamental.Ā The white German felt soft side is designed for louder playing without any contact sound but still clean and free of contact noise.Ā As an orchestral player you will find this mallet a true daily necessity as a āgo toā beater.
TTL (Large) option =Ā Measuring in at 20ā³ length (514 mm) with a head size of 6.5ā³ diameter and 1 lb 9 oz (680g). Hard side is the same grade of felt on the TTS model only in color green. Soft side is also the same white German felt as TTS model.
