The MAD KING STICK was born out of decades of concert experience and the real needs of a contemporary percussionist. It first took shape during Nebojsa’s preparation for his large-scale solo piece “The Castle of the Mad King”—when he realized exactly what kind of stick was missing. The result is a tool that combines freedom of movement, powerful sound, and surprising versatility.
• Light and agile: Its slim, lightweight design lets you “fly” effortlessly over cymbals, earth plates, almglocken, woodblocks, and other instruments.
• Big sound: A 14 mm top head provides maximum depth on flat drums, uchwa-daikos, and toms, while also enhancing the tone of wood blocks and almglocken.
• Creative backside: The rubber head on the butt end works on nearly any mallet instrument (except glockenspiel), produces striking effects on split drums and cymbals, and adds extra warmth on low toms and bass drum.
• Balanced feel: Unlike most combination sticks, the MAD KING STICK offers a natural balance, reliable rebound, and even lets you roll smoothly on the snare—so you really feel the joy of playing.
